Ahhhh now this is truly retru – who would have thought you’d be saying it in this day and age. When it came out it was the cutting edge of choir styles and everyone and his neighbour had to be doing a Kirk son especially if it had to do with a reason why you sang. Those were the days my friend and by the power of YouTube you can relive those bad hairstyles and outfits and crazy choral hi-jinx again!

Making disciples of men can be a bit tricky when they are then expected to come into an environment not only dominated by women numerically, but also influenced heavily by feminine focussed songs of loving Jesus. Matt Redman’s comments are interesting in this light. What would church look like if the balance was adjusted?

I wonder what other believers would answer regarding this question? Watch Pastor John’s response and check your own.

There’s always something about the way Americans do their tributes. I mean this brother was still alive when this was put together for him. Just check the music and the way it rises at crucial moments. Man, that’s the way to do tributes.

I’d love to be able to do the prep work for stuff like that. When we get our camera crew together and start those kind of projects.

Therein lies a gospel connection – if we were to put together a tribute to the people we work for, work with, live with, love what would it look like? What kind of music would sweep underneath it at what point? What footage would we use? Who would we want to share a word?

Then if we were to do a video tribute to the impact of Christ in our lives, what would that look like?
